Airy Choi, DMD
As the founder of Airys Family Dentistry, Dr. Choi’s journey into dentistry began in the heart of New Orleans, where she grew up surrounded by the sweet flavors of king cakes, beignets, and more than a few trips to the dentist. Whether she was flipping through Highlights magazines in the waiting room or savoring the taste of bubblegum-flavored prophy paste, the dental office was always a place of comfort and curiosity for her as a child. It’s no surprise that today, she has made it her mission to create that same enjoyable experience for each patient who walks through the door.
Dr. Choi believes that every smile is a gift, and no one should have to compromise their dental health due to fear or anxiety. Her practice is rooted in compassion, aiming to help everyone feel at ease, confident, and well cared for—from the moment they walk in to the time they leave with a brighter smile.
Dr. Choi earned her Bachelor’s in Biological Sciences from Louisiana State University, a Master’s in Medical Sciences from Mississippi College, and a Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry from Tufts University. She received the Academy of General Dentistry Senior Student Dental Award, the American Student Dental Association Award for Excellence, and was inducted into the Honos Civicus Society for her commitment to service.
Since launching her career, Dr. Choi has continued to earn accolades, including the Top Doctors of America Award in 2022, representing Texas. She’s an active member of several professional organizations, including the American Dental Association, Texas Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, Academy of Clear Aligners and the Academy of Facial Esthetics, to name just a few. With a passion for learning, Dr. Choi is committed to staying at the forefront of modern dentistry by regularly attending advanced training courses. Also, she’s an avid speaker and mentor, always eager to inspire the next generation of dental professionals.
When she’s not transforming smiles, Dr. Choi can be found hiking, running, practicing Pilates, or spending time with her husband and two dogs. A true adventurer, she seeks to explore a new national park each year, slowly but surely checking them off her bucket list.
With empathy, expertise, and a heart for her patients, Dr. Choi is dedicated to providing the highest level of dental care, making sure everyone who visits Airys Family Dentistry leaves with a smile they love.
